Incoloy 800, Incoloy 800H, and Incoloy 800HT are high-performance nickel-iron-chromium alloys with exceptional resistance to corrosion, oxidation, and high-temperature environments. Incoloy 800 flanges exhibit excellent strength and stability at elevated temperatures, making them ideal for heat exchangers, furnace components, and process piping. They are known for their resistance to carburization and nitridation, which makes them highly suitable for environments with carbon-rich atmospheres.
Incoloy 800 flanges also resist chloride stress-corrosion cracking and intergranular corrosion, enhancing their durability and longevity in aggressive environments. Incoloy 800H is a modified version of Incoloy 800 with higher carbon content, designed for enhanced creep resistance and improved strength at high temperatures. The increased carbon content promotes the formation of a stable carbide phase, strengthening the alloy and preventing grain boundary migration. This makes Incoloy 800H flanges suitable for applications involving long-term exposure to high temperatures.
Incoloy 800HT is another variation of Incoloy 800 that offers mechanical properties and resistance to thermal fatigue. It contains higher levels of aluminium, titanium, and silicon, contributing to its increased strength and improved structural stability. Incoloy 800HT flanges are commonly used in applications requiring resistance to thermal cycling and high-temperature exposure.
All three grades of Incoloy 800 flanges exhibit excellent weldability and formability, allowing for easy fabrication and installation. They retain their mechanical properties over a wide temperature range, from cryogenic temperatures up to 1100°C (2010°F).
